In most cases, you will simply select the bicycle of your choice when you check in for your tour. Comfort and security are key factors for the types of bicycles provided. All bikes are frequently revised to meet high standards.

There's a variety of bikes - from lightweight to classic, from custom to fat-tire and from modern touring to full mountain bikes with 21 gears, front suspension and different frame sizes (male and female frame types available). The bikes are in great condition and suitable for all bicycle tours.

Smaller bikes for children and so-called "fun bikes" may also be available. If these are of interest, you will be provided a telephone number on your E-Ticket to call to discuss these options and, if available, make specific arrangements for them.

Every tour starts with a quick adjustment of handlebars and saddle to your preferred position. There is no obligation to wear a helmet on Madrid's streets. Nevertheless, it is recommended and they are available at no cost. However, you will need to call the number on your E-Ticket to reserve helmets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to visit Madrid by bike? -- Madrid possesses around 120km of cycle lanes. Local car drivers have been getting more and more used to cyclists; still, it's best to move with caution. There are some local peculiarities – especially regarding cycling on one-way streets. Your bike guides will inform you before heading off, together with brief instruction on the bikes at the beginning of the tour – making sure you always feel safe and secure.

How many people in one group? -- All tours leave with a minimum of four persons and group size should not exceed 20 people.

Which language(s) are spoken on the tour? -- All tours are either in English or Dutch.

How much of Madrid and its sights will I see? -- A lifetime is not enough to get to know all the things Madrid has to offer. Madrid is a vibrant city where new trends, stunning buildings, state of the art boutiques and cycle lanes emerge on a daily basis. However, each of these trips will provide you with a deeper insight into a particular side of Madrid, its people and culture - and this tour specifically focuses on sites surrounding the Real Madrid soccer team.

What happens when its rains? -- Madrid has more than 300 days of sunshine in a year, so normally there's not much worry about bad weather. In case of rain, your guides will adapt the route when necessary and/or do a break with a Café con leche or a glass of vino tinto.

What do I have to bring on a trip? -- For your own comfort, bring as little as possible on the bicycle tour. Small items can be left in the tour office while you are cycling, but the organizer cannot be held responsible for the items.

What about after the trip? -- You'll have earned a well deserved rest! But, if you are hungry, your guides will be happy to suggest restaurants.
